I provide immediate crisis counseling using multiple skill sets and techniques. While in session, the urgency and tendency for self-harm de-escalates. Through-out, we establish a safety plan. The plan is for the present moment and future moments when situations may trigger additional crisis counseling. Help texters move from crisis to calm using empathetic listening. ✔ Assess emotional distress and identify immediate risks. ✔ Provide resources and referrals for further support. ✔ Maintain confidentiality and follow ethical guidelines. 📌 Duties of a Crisis Text Counselor ✔ Engage in real-time text conversations with individuals in crisis. ✔ Follow established protocols to address various crises. ✔ Document interactions and outcomes according to guidelines.
